  • Judy M. Logan

    Managing Director

    Judy joined CFC in 2011 and assists clients with financial planning, as well as financial reporting issues.  She has over 20 years of experience in the fields of accounting, tax, and nonprofits, working for a variety of firms, including KPMG, Deluxe Corporation, and St. Jude of the Lake Parish in Mahtomedi.  Judy completed her master’s in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University in 2016. Her focus is in the areas of parish accounting and financial reporting, school finance, and leadership transition.  Judy lives with her family in Stillwater and enjoys camping, hiking, and backpacking.

  • Michael D. Laughery

    Director of Partner Services

    Mike has served CFC clients since 2012 as a financial consultant, specializing in pastoral planning, church financial management, capital project consulting, and technology utilization.  A graduate of Iowa State University (BS) and Hamline University (MBA in Leadership and Change Management), Mike has over 30 years of financial management, sales, and technology experience.  Before his role as the business administrator at St. Michael Catholic Church in Prior Lake, Mike spent 20 years starting and growing agricultural and technological organizations.   He and his wife, Renee, live in Prior Lake, where they form and serve their five children and the foster children who come through their door.


  • Jill M. Olson

    Financial Consultant

    As a Financial Consultant, Jill’s background profoundly benefits our clients. She earned a BS in Marketing, an MBA in Venture Management, and an MA in Catholic Studies. Jill has served as a valued administrator at Holy Name of Jesus in Wayzata after working in Parish and Clergy Services for the Archdiocese, conducting pastoral visits. Before working in the church, she spent twenty years in data analytics and data science, owned her own consulting business, and, most importantly, stayed home with her two children. One of her educational highlights was studying at John Paul II University in Lublin, Poland, where John Paul II taught for many years. In her spare time, Jill loves exploring theology, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

  • Jim Weiland

    Financial Consultant

    After 13 years in accounting, financial management, and operations, Jim worked for a board governance consulting firm for five years, focusing on nonprofits and Catholic schools.


    Over the past five years,  Jim served as business administrator at Church of the Annunciation in South Minneapolis and, most recently, St. John the Baptist in Savage. As a CFC client, Jim utilized our products and services as an administrator of two parishes with schools and a finance council member at his home parish.


    Jim, his wife Julie, and their three children live in Shakopee, where they are active at their parish, Ss. Joachim and Anne.

  • Phillip R. Boelter

    Financial Consultant

    Phil brings an understanding of both finance and ministry to clients seeking financial advice and assistance with building projects and operational planning. Prior to joining CFC, Phil served as Director of the Archbishop's Annual Catholic Appeal for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Before that, he worked for seven years as a business banker in the Twin Cities, assisting closely-held businesses with lending and other financial needs. Phil has a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Northwestern Seminary and began his career as a Lutheran pastor before pursuing post-graduate study in Theology at the University of Notre Dame.

  • Dorfha D. Vang

    Analytical Staff Lead

    Dorfha joined CFC in 2007. Her primary responsibilities include providing analytical support to the Financial Consultants, creating and maintaining our computerized financial models, assisting with client needs, and monitoring CFC's loan portfolio. Dorfha comes to us from a major financial advisory firm where she was a project manager and financial analyst for six years. Prior to that, Dorfha spent seven years in customer service for a large insurance firm. Dorfha holds a BA in Business Management from Bethel University.

  • Mary Vang

    Financial Analyst

    Mary has been a CFC team member since 2013. Her primary role includes assisting and supporting the analytical staff supervisor and the financial consultants.  She specializes in creating and maintaining necessary financial models that allow CFC to serve its clients effectively.  Prior to joining CFC, Mary worked for CenturyLink for 11 years, where her most recent role was as an analyst. Mary has a BA in management and a master's degree in business administration from Concordia University. In her free time, Mary enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family.

  • Amanda M. Braith

    Manager of Office Operations

    Amanda has been a part of the CFC team since its formation and for nearly her entire career. As the third employee hired in 2002, she helped bring CFC’s mission to fruition by creating structure and procedures in those first five years of growth. She took a three-year hiatus using her expertise in the management of another nonprofit.


    She is an operations professional, well-versed in the nonprofit and financial consulting industries. Her duties range from bookkeeping to leveraging technology to ensure quality control. Amanda is a core player, ensuring that CFC runs effectively and proficiently.

  • Kindra A. Kostka

    Administrative Assistant

    Kindra is CFC’s most recent employee but is already undertaking projects large and small to increase our capacity to serve our clients. She has adeptly translated her skills to the nonprofit world after 21 years of experience in the insurance industry as an administrative assistant, the last three as a sales performance manager. Kindra holds active property/casualty and life/accident/health insurance licenses. A resident of Inver Grove Heights, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and camping with her husband and two adult children.

  • Lisa L. Zimmerman

    Marketing/Communications Lead

    Lisa transitioned to CFC in 2018 after home-educating three children and serving as a stay-at-home “manager” and a sometimes-fitness-instructor.  Before that, Lisa was a Broadcast Production Manager for BBDO Minneapolis Advertising.  She is utilizing her administrative and project management skills to enhance CFC’s interactions with its clients. 


    Lisa thrives on the written word, entertaining guests, and time with her family.  She is also active in a local Catholic lay community.
