Alan J. EricksonManaging Director
With over 30 years of financial and operational management experience, Al serves as Managing Director, overseeing the process of providing quality services and counsel to each CFC client. Prior to joining CFC, Al was the Executive Vice President of a major financial advisory firm for 10 years and was the Director of Finance and Administrative Services for a large Twin Cities suburb for almost 15 years. He has also served as Chair of a parish finance council and has served as President of his parish's pastoral council. Al is a graduate of St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota and holds a masters degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
Phillip R. BoelterFinancial Consultant
Phil brings an understanding of both finance and ministry to clients seeking financial advice and assistance with building projects and operational planning. Prior to joining CFC, Phil served as Director of the Archbishop's Annual Catholic Appeal for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Before that, he worked for seven years as a business banker in the Twin Cities, assisting closely-held businesses with lending and other finance needs. Phil has a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Northwestern Seminary and began his career as a Lutheran pastor before pursuing post graduate study in Theology at the University of Notre Dame.
Michael D. LaugheryFinancial Consultant
Mike Laughery is the newest addition to CFC, joining us in 2012 after working for a local parish. Mike has 20 years of experience working for for-profit companies including subsidiaries of John Deere and Pioneer, and for non-profit companies including the National Pork Board and the Church of St. Michael in Prior Lake. His specialized expertise in financial management, church management, sales and marketing, technology utilization, and building and leading teams will be invaluable to CFC and the parishes we serve. Mike lives with his family in Prior Lake, where he plays "hobby farmer" at night and works with his wife, Renee, to raise their most valuable crop: their five children.
Renee E. ShermanFinancial Consultant
Renee joined us in 2010. She assists clients with financial planning as well as financial reporting issues. She has 19 years of experience in the fields of accounting and financial management, working for a variety of firms including KPMG, Motorola, Inc., and Certes Financial Pros. Renee's particular expertise is in the areas of accounting software implementation, financial reporting and internal financial controls. Prior to joining CFC she was been involved with performing parish merger and financial system consulting work in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for three years.
Judy M. LoganFinancial Consultant
Judy joined CFC in 2011. She assists clients with financial planning as well as financial reporting issues. She has over 20 years of experience in the fields of accounting, tax and non profits, working for a variety of firms including KPMG, Deluxe Corporation and St. Jude of the Lake Parish in Mahtomedi. Judy's particular interest is in the areas of financial reporting, internal financial controls and stewardship. Judy lives with her family in Stillwater and enjoys camping, hiking and biking.
Dorfha D. VangAnalytical Staff Supervisor
Dorfha joined CFC in 2007. Her primary responsibilities include providing analytical support to the Financial Consultants, creating and maintaining our computerized financial models, assisting with client needs, and monitoring CFC's loan portfolio. Dorfha comes to us from a major financial advisory firm where she was a project manager and financial analyst for six years. Prior to that, Dorfha spent seven years in customer service for a large insurance firm. Dorfha holds a BA in Business Management from Bethel University.
Mary VangFinancial Analyst
Mary joined CFC in 2013. Her primary responsibilities include assisting and support the analytical staff supervisor and financial consultants, and creating and maintaining necessary financial models that allow CFC to effectively serve its clients. Prior to joining CFC, Mary worked for CenturyLink for 11 years, where her most recent role was as an analyst. Mary has a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and a Master's degree in business administration from Concordia University. In her free time, Mary enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family.
