Why We Were Founded
An independent organization focused on the growth of Catholic institutions
Catholic Finance Corporation (CFC) was founded in 2000 by the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis as a separate, independent corporation focused on the growth of Catholic institutions. CFC is a first-of-a-kind organization in the United States.
Through CFC, the Archdiocese wanted to establish guidelines for evaluating loan risks and a consistent approach to solving building finance challenges. CFC helps finance building and renovation projects in the Archdiocese and provides assistance as churches and schools plan for their building growth. Our service area is within the boundaries of The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, including its 222 parishes and 112 schools.
Services CFC provides in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis are being funded primarily with proceeds from the Community Growth Partnership Program of the Growing in Faith Capital Campaign.
