Explore Your Financing Options
At CFC, we can assist you with your financing efforts in many ways. We can offer you feedback on changes in the banking environment that may affect you. We can provide a direct loan from CFC funds, or we can help you find a lender by soliciting lender proposals on your behalf. If you prefer to seek a lender on your own, we can give you a list of lenders versed in church or school loans. If you want to work with the banker you currently have your bank accounts with, we can help you negotiate a competitive rate and covenants for your loan. We can approach lenders one-on-one to find a solution to a difficult lending challenge you may face.
We can help you identify and pull together the information that a lender will typically want to see. We can prepare you for meetings with lenders and alert you to their expectations. (At a minimum, they may want to know your capital campaign results, the status of your existing operations, your current revenue projections for the project and your reserve fund levels.)
In some cases, we may be able to provide collateral to secure your loan if it meets our qualifications and if the collateralization provides enough incentive for a bank to offer a lower lending rate.
The selection of the right lender is important because the loan rate they offer you and their loan covenants will have a major impact on your project's financial success.
